Niewiadomski, Allen and Clarke win the first event of the 2010 Tour

Moreno Valley CA - As with every year, the New Year's Classic kicked off the 2010 Tour. This year's event was held at another old favorite, Moreno Vallley Ranch. The day was another perfect So Cal day, the calm before the El Nino. The course was in great shape but managed to tear up a few scores! Of the 40 players, only 7 were at or below par.

Taking home the crown in Flight A was long time member Jerry Niewiadomski (8-under, Net 64) who completely dismantled the rest of the field. Jerry's nearest competitor, Dan Hilsabeck, as an amazing eight strokes back. In Flight B it was another long time member and club sponsor, Scott Allen (5-under, Net 67) who rose to the top. Coming in a close second, two strokes back, was Mark Van Dorselar. And finally in Flight C it was Rusty Clarke (4-under, Net 68) who took his home course advantage and ran away with the win. Coming in five strokes back was Iain McKenna.

We look forward to another great year. Our next event is at Soboba Springs Country Club on February 6th. Don't miss it!
